How accurate have growth scans been?

Curious to know if there was any big difference between growth scans and birth weight?

I had a growth scan with my first at 38 weeks. If she followed on from their estimated weight she should’ve been 7lb9 at 40 weeks but she was born at 41+3 and 7lb2

Mine was pretty much spot on. Had a scan at 38+5 and was 8lb 10oz, had him 2 weeks later at 40+6 and was born 9lb 9oz

I had growth scans every time they measured me with my first, he was estimated to be over 9 and a half lbs. He came out 8lb 4. They’ve sent me for growth scans every time they have measured me again but I’m not concerned

Following as my baby is measuring big x

Due to gestational diabetes, At 37 + 4 I was told measuring 9lb 2oz, delivered 38 + 4 and our little man was 8lb 2oz.

98th centile entire pregnancy with last scan at 36 weeks being 7lb 11oz with predicted birth weight over 10lb. Was born weighing 7lb 14oz at 39+1

Scan at 35+5 said 6lb 11, she was born at 36+5 weighing 6lb 11. They say allow 20% either way because it isn’t an exact science

For my baby the difference was about 100grams

Mine was WAY OUT! Measured 6lb 13oz at 36 week … was born 2 weeks later at 6lb 6oz

My first was well over a pound off, he came out only 4lb 6oz when he was on trajectory from growth scans to be over 6lb. With this baby it was pretty spot on - measuring 5lb 12oz at 36W and came at 38+4 at 6lb 2oz.

Had a growth scan at 37 weeks and was predicted 7lb 2oz so if she followed the growth line we’d expect her to be 8lb 4ish. She was born 7lb 4oz x

@Terri how many weeks was she born x

Growth scan at 34 + 5 measured 7lb 15oz… born 37 + 4 weighed 7lb 11.5 oz… way off x

@Jessica she was born 38+5 x
