We had our 12 week scan last week (to find out we were 6 days behind!) but have just started buying today. Only clothes and small bits and bobs so far like dummies, a teddy, some nappies, bottles etc. but it’s just so exciting we couldn’t wait 🥹
@Katie is it normal to be behind? Yeah I’m thinking of small bits to start of with
@Sarah I wouldn’t say it’s normal or not normal, just that I ovulated later than we thought because I have irregular periods. We based off LMP but it’s not always accurate due to some people ovulating earlier or later in their cycle
@Katie ohh fair enough then. If I didn’t know I would probably worry when they told me. So thank you
I didn’t start until past 20 weeks with our first but the cost is more spread if you do it over a longer period
I didn't start until 20 weeks + with our first but started saving money to buy as soon as we found out. I've kept most things so don't need a lot this time, other than clothes if we're having a girl as we have a boy already
When i had my first scan i was 10weeks and 1 day but they thought i was 12 and a half weeks. We’ve started buying little things. We’ve bought a pram and car seat but that’s because it was second hand and it’s like brand new x
Im 11 weeks tomorrow and I’m literally buying our “big” bits which is a Moses basket and carrycot&car seat for our pram we already had from when our boy was little but they’re second hand. I don’t know why but I wanted to get those things first then little bits each month x
If I see a good sale I’ll buy whatever it is. Slowly build up the essentials. Make a list on Amazon or wherever else so you keep track.
I’ve been buying stuff like nappies and wipes just because you’re going to need a ton of them !😂 and a few bits here and then nothing expensive x
