Pointy Baby chin
Hi all,
My 12 weeks scan looked like baby had a pointy chin. Couldn’t ask anyone because i was worried to know.
Anyone had the same or have info re this?
Im 19 and my 20 weeks scan is next week so freaking out

Mine looked like this too, they said it was the babys hand xx
I had one scan pic that looked like this and another where they looked normal, think it’s just the angle I wouldn’t worry x
I had a scan picture with my daughter where her nose and chin looked so pointy, I was genuinely worried but she came out totally fine! She has a normal chin and wee button nose x
Im guessing i get another photo at the 20week scan?

I think it’s so hard to really say because they scan imaging while a lot better these days, is not perfect and really depends on light/angle. If they didn’t say anything then that’s a good sign. They have to flag any concerns with you and always are more precautions than not. At your 20 week scan they can assess better and the whole purpose is to review the anatomy and they will tell you if anything is a concern. You can also ask, I know it can feel strange but they would’ve heard so many random questions and it’s the best way to get some reassurance. If they say all is fine but you are still worried. The other thing you could consider is a private 4D scan. But I really don’t think anything looks a concern, just the angle/light of the scan. Honestly my scan picture was so crappy. Oh and my girl last pregnancy looked like she had strange lips on the screen but was born perfect and no strange lips.
