Baby bag at birth in ACT?
I used to live in NSW and I know a lot of my friends who had kids in the public system received this baby bag with all sorts of items in it including a playmat, change mat etc. I don’t know anyone in ACT who’s had kids so I’m just curious to know if you get something similar when giving birth here in the public system?

Nope! Didn’t get anything like that. I don’t think it’s offered here. But there are ‘goodie bags’ that you can get from some pharmacies and dr surgeries. They have little samples of things like nappies and wet wipes.
I had both of my kids in Canberra. One private and one public. Don’t think they give out anything like the bag in NSW, tbh I didn’t use mine from nsw with my son in 2022. It just ended up in the cupboard 😂
I had my boy in April and I got like one little bag that had baby wash, moisturiser and some other sample things. This was the public hospital too.
You only get a bag if you give birth privately
