My son did this. We just kept it covered with burn cream and kept it clean. Don't pop the blisters. They will pop on their own. Also keep an eye out for any infections.

are you in the UK? i’d probably call 111 for advice.

what did you do after this happened? my son last year poured a freshly made cup of tea all down himself, it was in a flask ready to go out and i just popped it on the side, he screamed, i immediately removed all his clothes and i had him under the shower for exactly 20 minutes under cool water (i set a timer), he screamed bloody murder but i had to force him there. whilst doing this, my partner called 111 and we brought him in to be checked over. They had no concerns at all, was happy with him and actually said that due to my quick thinking of him going straight under the shower for 20 minutes helped massively, it could’ve been a lot worse had we not done what we did. so did you run her hand under running water for 20 minutes? did you call 111? xxx

(i work in childcare btw, so my knowledge of putting burns under cool running water for *at least* 20 minutes comes from my regular paediatric first aid training as part of my job) xx

oh i also wrapped his body in cling film after being under the water for 20 minutes until we got to the hospital! xx

Call 111 if you’re from the UK as they may want to see her and assess it to treat it properly. Do not pop the blisters either x

Hospital

Tepid running water for 20 minutes and call 111.

How hot are we talking? I’d personally get them checked

I would personally take her to hospital those look like serious burns. Did you run them under cold water? Don’t put any burn cream on it and get it checked out asap.

I’d go to the hospital or at the very least make a pediatrician appointment that day personally.

any type of burn or scald should be ran under cool (not freezing) running water for at least 20 minutes while seeking advice from 111 or 999 depending on severity and cover with cling film, do not remove anything stuck on the burn - first aid trained. paracetamol can help with pain and discomfort x
