Pelvic floor & exercise

Feel very embarrassed, but here goes.... I did my pelvic floor exercises all through my first pregnancy but afterwards leaked, mainly when doing running and/or some other exercises, I thought this was normal and wore big pads, I thought it would improve with time? I'm on second pregnancy (5 years later) and again doing pelvic floor exercises, also reading a bit more about it and realised it's not so normal... I feel like I leak randomly sometimes. I don't like ever need the toilet really desperately or anything and I haven't properly weed myself... Just need some advice really, what can I do to improve this? I want to be able to run and I used to do all the time before my first, had to phase it back a bit in the past few years, and now I don't think I could even run without actually weeing (I don't feel it coming out sometimes?) Help?!

Have you seen a women's health physiotherapist? It seems it would be good to see a specialist about it. There's a really great Instagram account- thephysiogirl.ie - she posts regularly about all things like this and it's so good to see it being talked about and normalised. You might find something that resonates or helps with your situation. https://www.instagram.com/thephysiogirl.ie?igsh=MWRmYmh3czBrYW40Yw==

Definitely do a mummy mot

I would also recommend asking your midwife about a referral to a pelvic health clinic. I went to one after my daughter was born and they were incredibly helpful
