mom car recommendations?

i need help picking a mom car. we’re gonna be buying used and at least 2018+. we have a budget because we wanna pay in full so we don’t have payments. we’re about to have our 2nd baby so i want something with 3 rows but can’t decide if i want captain seats. also want good trunk space. the ones ive been looking at are chevy traverse, gmc acadia, volkswagen atlas, and volkswagen tiguan. i know every car can have problems but im having such a hard time deciding because ill see people say bad things about certain cars. i need opinions and recommendations, even if its not one of the cars i mentioned

I just got a traverse over the weekend and I’m in love!

The Chevy traverse and VW Atlas are great options. I currently have the Acura MDX which is a 3rd row and I like a lot. I would say if you want trunk space as well maybe not choose the VW Tiguan. Although it has a 3rd row it’s not as a spacious as the other options you mentioned and doesn’t provide as much trunk space.

@Tessa what year did you get?

It’s a 2025 and it’s insane tech wise compared to what I had lol we have the captain seats because I wanted to be able to get to the third row easily because we want more kids. I was able to completely install both car seats standing in the back seat (it was raining and I wasn’t about standing outside

I had an older traverse (2012) for years and loved it honestly. It hauled me, husband, and 3 kids. Now I have a 2021 dodge Durango and love it. Hauls husband, me, 4 kids now and still can fit everything we need in the back. I did consider another traverse because I really loved it

I have a 2017 gmc Acadia now and had a Hyundai palisade before this. I miss the palisade. The Acadia has less space inside and less trunk space. My neighbor has a Kia telluride that has similar space to the palisade or could be slightly bigger. I can’t speak to the other cars.
