I had one at 4 weeks however I think that contributed to my incision opening and an infection. I would definitely suggest waiting as long as you can or until you’re healed.
After 6 weeks but it will depend on when your incision heals fully on the outside! If you see its fully closed you can and just makesure to pat dry right after and dont use too hot of water the first time. My doctor told me i couldve a little sooner but i was skeptical and waiting for his go ahead haha i was so scared
I'm yet to have a bath... My daughter is 11 months 😅
I accidentally had a bath at 4 weeks not thinking and it caused me major irritation
Whatever the midwives have told you, will be correct. I burst my stitches and wound open running, eight weeks after birth (got caught in flash flooding when out with baby, wasn't planned). So when you feel ok and healed, you won't be. Just wait it out, to avoid infection. You can shower 👍

3 days pp i was fine
I was allowed to sponge bath 24-48 hrs after my c- section but wasn't allowed to have a shower until they looked at my incision and made sure it was healed fully on the outside. So I had alot of sponge baths until then lol
@Natalie in all honesty my midwives told me I could have sex the day after my c section so I don’t quite trust their judgement
@Amy on the nhs website it says you don’t have to wait a certain amount of time it’s whenever the person is ready x
