Hi I've had all bloodd from recurring miscarriage clinics and been diagnosed with pcos also
@Hannah have they given you anything for your PCOS? I’ve been put on Metformin and I’ve already had one normal cycle and ovulated day 14 which is amazing for me as I’m normally 17-22 for ovulation, I’ve just started reading “it starts with the egg” and it’s very interesting and has lots of tips at tricks x
I’m sorry you’re struggling too. I have pcos as well and had left tube removal just over a year ago with my ectopic. No luck getting pregnant since and had all the tests under the sun. As it turns out not all women ovulate on alternate sides. They do tell you that the remaining tube can collect eggs from both sides but really if you happen to be ovulating on the tubeless side, the chances are way smaller than those who alternate. We’ve had one round of ivf since, unfortunately unsuccessful too due to embryo quality. We’re working on quality now with a supplement regime from a book called It Starts With The Egg plus additional support with acupuncture, herbal meds, nutrition and exercise. Only been a month since so if I do find it successful, I shall report back.. It’s all very tough and not to mention financially excruciating, but all you can do is keep going and trying your best. There is nothing wrong with you, what I’m learning is that a lot of it is down to luck..
@Ruby I've been on Metformin for months but sadly after a few months my ovulation went right back to all over the place. Fingers crossed it doesn't do the same to you.
@Barbara thanks for those kind words. I'm trying to keep my hopes up but so far a lot of heartache is hard to overcome.
Asked heal baby care app and sharing in case it helps: "I'm really sorry to hear about your experience and the challenges you've faced since your ectopic pregnancy and tube removal. It's completely understandable to feel anxious and question your fertility after such a significant event. Many factors can influence conception, and it's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique. Have you had any fertility assessments or discussions with a healthcare provider about your situation? They can offer insights into your reproductive health and suggest possible next steps. It's also worth considering that emotional support during this time can be incredibly beneficial, so don't hesitate to reach out to loved ones or support groups. You're not alone in this, and there is hope for your family-building journey."
I'm approaching year 10 of ttc. Our 1 and only positive was ectopic on my right side. Had that tube removed. It's been a year since I fell pregnant. I'm at a point where I don't know if it will happen again but I'm glad that it happened last year. I fell so in love with that little bundle of cells. I don't know what to advise but I do know that working on finding a sense of peace is important regardless. Look after yourself Hannah
Hey Hannah, we are a year down the line too, it’s frustrating and we are finding it hard! I have also just been diagnosed with PCOS when I begged the GP for blood tests as I knew something was up! Have you started any investigative blood tests? X
