Elective c section

I’ve just been for my 32 week placenta scan as at my 20 week one they thought the placenta was blocking.. I’ve been told now the head is ahead of the placenta so they don’t believe it is blocking anymore. I asked who I need to speak to now as I still want a c-section anyway, and the person doing the scan just advised that this scan is on the system now for all to see and I’ll hear from my midwife or the consultant at some point further…? Should I message my midwife anyway? As I’m conscious that I’m 32+5 and I’m not due to see her for another two weeks which would make me nearly 35 weeks without discussing my birthing plan at all..

They will do that in the next meeting when u next see her

I'd just pop her a message, they're so busy that a heads up always helps and she might be able to send you some info etc. X

I didn’t book my c section until 38+5 and they booked it for 39+5

Yes don’t worry, they will discuss this with you at 36 weeks, it’s so weird but because things change so much in pregnancy they like to wait and see! Don’t worry you will be able to book your c section no problem😊

If it helps, I had zero birth plan! I went in for a my checkup as I was being seen every 2 days due to pre-eclampsia and they decided that I wasn't going home without a baby due to the high blood pressure. I went from almost having a natural to an emergency c-section because when they gave me my epidural my girl moved and they couldn't monitor properly. Send your midwife a message anyway, but I wouldn't stress as when the time comes you can speak to them before going to delivery anyway 😊

I booked my c section for 38+2 at 36 weeks and they didn’t want to make the booking before that. I had no problem getting a date and it was super efficient.
