Sertraline/zoloft withdrawals

So I’ve been on for 2 years (100mg) and ever since my baby has been born (5 months ago) I have become very bad at remembering to take them everyday and ordering them on time. I’m currently on day 3 without them and I feel weird my head keeps going fuzzy and I feel like I’m gonna faint when I’m holding my baby it’s scary. Has anyone else gone through or going through this? Im feeling completely numb on them and today is the first time I have cried in MONTHS and it didn’t even feel like a full release either. I’m fed up of feeling like this. I have an appointment with GP Saturday to discuss switching to another SSRI or coming off. Feeling very deflated right now. I will pick up my prescription tomorrow

Hey! Im on 100mg daily & if I dont take it for one day I get the fuzzy feeling too, feels like little electric shocks in your head? Is there anything you can do to help you remember to order them? Perhaps set a daily alarm to take them? They can really f*ck you up if you dont xxx

I'm on something different, but if I forget to take, I feel the same way with withdrawals. And after a few days, I can really notice a decline in my mental state. I got a monthly pill organizer and fill it on the 1st of every month, and this has really helped me to remember to take my meds. The weekly ones were not beneficial to me. I hate filling them, so the monthly has worked much better. My youngest also takes meds twice a day, so I take mine when she does. Maybe you could set an alarm? Put them on automatic refill? Make a calendar or sticky note where you would see it everyday? It's normal to have the withdrawals. They usually slowly wean you off of them, if you decide not to take them anymore. Stopping abruptly can really mess with things.

Do you have an alarm as a reminder to take them?

Yes my fiancé and I was on them we felt the same way! I weened off first now I’m on trintellix now

I went through this last week!! The withdrawals are no joke. Set an alarm everyday and try to rebuild that habit!

Yea your supposed to taper off sertaline instead of stopping cold turkey, contacting your psych or whoever prescribed it to you will be your best bet in figuring out how to move about it

Tapering down the measurement of sertraline is the only way to come off it safely, you probably will feel so side effects like brain zaps, but it will be a lot more manageable if you taper off. I’ve found in the past the slower the better x
