Mine was measuring 7lb7oz at 36+2 😅

@Tayla did they mention an induction or anything? X

I had a growth scan yesterday at 34+5 and she was estimated to be 6lb 9…

I had my growth scan a couple days ago at exactly 36 weeks and he’s measuring at 6lb 10oz which turns out to be the exact same as my first at this stage so I consistently make big babies 🤣 my first was born at 41+2 weeks weighing 8lb 14oz

@Lauren my first was born at 40+2 and was 7lbs 6 and my second was born at 37+4 and was 7lbs 8, this is my first boy and everyone says boys are meant to be bigger so wonder when he will arrive and how big 😂x

That’s actually really interesting, my first is a boy and this one’s a boy as well so I’m really intrigued to see when and how big this one’s going to be. Crazy how the 2 you’ve had was only 2oz difference in weight but almost 3 weeks difference x

@Lauren I wasn’t induced with my second either, I knew she was going to be a bigger baby but I always took growth scans with a pinch of salt but so far they’ve always been accurate for me x

My baby is measuring 7.4lbs at 37+3 and estimated 8.1lbs in 2 weeks. Have been offered induction or cesection at 39 weeks. Also been told I can have sweeps from 38 weeks. Trying to avoid induction if possible!

Mine was measuring 9lb at 36 weeks and also have polyhydramnios which i had in my 1st pregnancy so insisting c section at 38 im in to much pain and uncomfortable to go to 40, plus i have an almost 2yr old and its beyond exhausting

No nothing this time, they did with my 2nd. She was measuring 7lb15oz at 36 weeks so I had my waters broke at 39+2

@Steph why have they offered induction or C-section at 39 weeks? That seems like a pretty reasonable weight 🤔

I think because baby is on 90th percentile for my growth chart, I don’t think 8lbs is that big considering me and my partner were both big babies. I have also been told I’ve got extra fluid around the baby now @Rachel and I’m being rescanned Wednesday to see if it’s changed. Does it cause extra problems?

@Steph yeah im having to be re scanned tomorrow before i see my consultant, it doesnt cause any problems to the baby its just put you at risk of premature labour and risks to that as well such as cord prolapse and depending on what position your baby is could cause risks incase cord it wrapped around the neck or if its transversed the force of your waters breaking could also pass babies arm or leg through as well, i had it really severe in my first pregnancy and made it to elective csections at 38 weeks, was hard cos i was shattered and breathless but my baby was totally fine, they donregular scans to monitor it but just means they might want you to deliver ealier like arounf 38-39 weeks x

I’m already 38 weeks! Been having very odd feelings the last few days and now constant back pain so something may be happening..they said the fluid was 9.1cm so don’t know how severe that is, she said they want it to be between 2-8cm 🤷‍♀️

@Steph mine was just over that so sounds close to what i had but they ahould really be speaking with you about elective or induction, especially if your feeling like that cos i am and im 37 weeks! Im guna push for elective at 38 my back is really hurting so are my hips and legs, taking codine every 6 hours, making playing and caring for my almoat 2 yr so difficult, heas measure 9lb so think he's about cooked lol

Yours was just over 9.1 and considered severe? I feel like they told me nothing!! I don’t want to be induced though if I can help it so I’d rather not

@Steph when i asked my fetal medicine doctor how much whete talking she said normal is around 800ml which decreases towards the end, i had 1lt water bottle and she said nearly 3 of those is how much extra i had! If its high you can still have a normal delivery and wait till it happens when it happens but they should really be telling you what your risks are for the amount you have cos generally anything past high is classed as high risk, im not under the fetal medicine doctor this time cos its not as bad but anything severe they put you under the fetal medicine, id speak with your midwife about that someone should of explained it to you and what it means for your pregnancy and if its something there concerned about or what

I’m going back for the scan and see the consultant tomorrow so I’ll let you know what they say!

@Steph ive just had mine and the fluid is increasing so ive been booked in for my c section next thursday so il be just over 38 weeks which im fine with but they should really be keeping you informed about it even if there not concerned anything can change on a weekly basis, 🤞 it goes alright but let me know how it goes

My fluid has also increased and I’m being induced tomorrow, what a quick turn around of events 🫣🫣🫣

@Steph oh wow how far along are you? Least there doing something about it and your baby will soon be here 😊

38+3 today, it’s been a wild ride of emotions today 😂 finally excited about the fact I’ll be meeting my baby. God knows what will come my way these next few days but it’ll all be worth it in the end!
