I’m going to order milk and nappies to the boots at the airport so I can collect after security so it doesn’t affect my luggage allowance x
Similar to Chloe, my lo uses about 6-7 a day. So I pack that many plus a few. I use a large diaper bag for most of her clothes and at least 16 diapers. The rest I pack in compression cubes. It’s nice to know you’ll have extra space when returning. Some people don’t pack them and buy when they get there, but I don’t want to chance it.
We packed some in car seat (had car hire) and bought some there.
I bring a few in baby bag, then buy the rest abroad . It takes up too much space, plus the quality is good and it’s not expensive.
We’ve just traveled to Crete for a week with 1x 23kg bag (husband, baby & me). We prioritised clothes and took 1x pack of 40 nappies & 1x pack of wipes with us. We each had hand luggage too. Honestly we’ve never felt like we didn’t have enough - I would say with a baby there is a tendency to overpack. My question I ask is ‘would I need it on a day out’ and ‘will my life be harder without it’ - if the answer is no then it’s probably a nice to have not an essential.
We based nappy decisions on 6 per day btw
@Shella W was it hot?
@Chloe lovely and warm (20-22 degrees) but not overly hot 😊
@Shella W oh nice, I didn’t think Greek islands got warmer until like mid may at least. Good to know
@Aimee Can you just carry them onto the plane and it doesn’t affect your hand luggage either? I haven’t been abroad in 5 years so i don’t understand how it works x
@Sophie yeah so because you pick it up after security it’s like you’ve just bought it in duty free so doesn’t affect your luggage xx
My son roughly goes through three or four nappies during the day and 1 or 2 during the night so I would pack that many plus a few extra just incase. I always find it hard to find good nappies abroad. Put them in the suitcase. Could take them out and fill them flat at the bottom or the side zip pocket but sounds like you have more than enough luggage to put them in
