Baby measuring small

My last midwife appointment they said my baby was 10th centile from my bump measure but she didn’t refer me for a growth scan even though my first baby was 98th centile at birth. Should she have do you think?

I think if it’s below 10th centile they refer for a growth scan. Mine was measuring below the 5th centile at my last midwife appointment and I had an urgent scan the next day and baby was measuring on the 71st centile on the scan. It’s so hard to get an accurate measurement. Was this the first bump measurement you had? If baby has been plotting on the 10th centile previously as well then they’d be happy their continuing their own line of growth x

Yes it was the first measurement I’ve had. Maybe that’s why? Although it was at 28 weeks and I’m not being seen again until 34 which seems a long time 🤔 Glad all was okay with yours!

I would call the hospital directly and request a scan if it put your mind in peace. That’s what I did when my bump was measured over the 97th centile during my first pregnancy. My midwife just didn’t care and said it was all normal but I wanted to have a scan and called the hospital. they arranged an appointment for next week that confirmed my baby was indeed above the 97th centile.

My first bump measurement was at 28 weeks and it was the 10th percentile! My midwife referred me and I was scanned 2 days later and baby measured on the 12th percentile. I’d say give your midwife a message or a call to ask! X
