FB groups. Clean cloth nappies. Cloth diapering mamas. Cloth diapers Anonymous. All great. CCN is for wash advice. I absolutely LOVE my cloth they are so cute and never got any blowouts not one. Prewash daily (because of night cloth) and main wash day 3, as he got older and used less per day I stretched it to day 4 main wash for a full load. CCN recommends pre wash day 1-2 and main wash day 3-4. If you don’t use night cloth you can get away w a prewash every second day and then main wash day 3 or 4. Follow some cloth mums on IG if you are on IG for daily inspiration and advice and what real mums actually use etc I liked Mama Koala also on Ama I liked their 4 snaps on the tabs like :: rather than the 3 triangle config but that’s my personal preference. Those inserts aren’t that great so maybe buy 6 layer bamboo inserts separately the ones w no microfibre
Definitely what Liv said! I’ll add to make your wash routine for your lifestyle. And give yourself some grace, if you need to do the odd disposable here and there that is completely okay!
Make sure the cloth nappy you are using has good absorbent material. Ie bamboo, hemp. Avoid micro fibre as rubbish. Don’t buy loads of the same brand incase you don’t get on with them. The nappy lady website is very helpful too Look on the Facebook groups for reviews on the brand of cloth nappy. These people really are the experts x
I use the brand Esembly. It was recommended to me and I have been using them since birth. I love them they are very absorbent.
If you have Facebook you should join all the cloth diapering groups you can. They are all so helpful in making sure you have a good wash routine which is like the MOST important thing that I didn’t realize when I first started. Also It may seem overwhelming trying to get absorbency right especially if you have a heavy wetter but don’t give up it’s so worth it. ! If you have any specific questions feel free to message me !🙂
