Cephlahematoma

My LO is 9 weeks now, she developed a cephlahematoma the day after she was born. It has gone down alot but its now calcified and is still present. I am worrying it might always be there now without surgery. Going to call HV advice line today or GP. Has anyone else had any experience with them with thier LOs?

Hi, Same situation here. 10 weeks. We showed it to the doctor he said it should go away on its own but I doubt it. Will show to another specialist privately now that we’re overseas.

@Mariam that is what they were saying to me but from what I have read I think once it's calcified less likely to. Hope you find out more privately. Hopefully I get some more information too.

My daughter had one when she was born, I’m on a cephalohematoma support group on fb and a lot of parents there have said that their babies’ ones had calcified and as the babies grew the bump appeared smaller and a few have said at around 1 year of age it became unnoticeable unless you touched it!
