Baby size/position

I keep seeing posts on here of growth scans and baby being breech etc. I'm a low risk pregnancy so haven't been scanned since the 20w NHS scan - and because it's a 2nd pregnancy I last saw the midwife at 28 weeks and not due again until 34. I know she'll measure my bump for the growth chart but can they feel positioning?? Sorry if this is a silly question, I was consultant led in my first pregnancy so saw the midwife a lot more and had grown scans at 28/32/36 weeks. I hate not having that much information this time round!!

You may still be offered a growth scan, some trust still do them. Maybe they’ll book at your 34 week scan. My midwife was able to feel baby was head down at my last appointment so they can still check positioning without the scan x

Yeah they can my 3rd baby he's been head down since before 30 weeks, but had a growth scan yesterday and he's very much getting ready to engaged very low down in position midwife can feel their position and how they are xx

I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant now x

Yeah the midwife can feel the position by touching your belly and will likely do this at your next appointment x

They just feel your tummy to find out the babys position x

I’m high risk and have extra scans anyway, but I’ve had a midwife appt this morning and she knew I had a scan on Tuesday anyway, but still felt the position of baby whilst I was there

My hospital are doing an NHS 36 week scan for everyone low/high risk to check baby position, they don’t always do this but this year they are. Not that I’ve received a date for this but my midwife seems to think everyone is having them at our hospital

I was on a low risk pathway just seeing midwives and then during her feeling of the baby's position physically with her hands on my tummy, and her tape measurements, I have been referred for baby's size and told he was breech (although not anymore) so it's a no news is good news type situation - you only get them if midwife is concerned about something
