Mine started doing this around 9 weeks (he’s nearly 11 at the moment). He started taking less oz, like only 2 or 3 at a time but was feeding every 2 ish hours. And he was so fussy almost like he was in pain but like you said was fine at night. He’s only just started taking 4oz again and takes bottle happily. So I guess it was a leap of a growth spurt or something.
Is this bottle feeding? Is it teat size? If you bottle feed, maybe the teat flow is too slow so they’re getting frustrated but the slow flow at night is good as they’re half asleep?
We have the exact same thing!!What size teat are you using? We upped him to 1 but now brought back down to a 0 as we thought if it was coming out too quickly it could be causing more air. We also started using infacol which has really helped get the wind out. Also done lots of playing on a play mat so he's scratched out and kicking to get some movement in his belly xx
@Paige she’s breastfed, I can’t figure out what it is because I think if it was reflux surely she would be also uncomfortable during the night feeds too? Very confusing. Hopefully can figure it out soon!!
@Lucy hope your little one feels better soon! I’m breastfeeding, I started using gaviscon yesterday to see if that helps but it doesn’t seem to be making a lot of difference so still trying to see what I can do to fix it, confused what it could be! Xx
Thank you! It's so confusing isn't it!! So hard to know when they can't tell us! I thought we were starting to see the light but today has been horrendous with it so we are still trying to figure it out as he is also absolutely fine on night feeds & would of thought it would be every feed if it was! X
@Lucy let me know if you figure it out I definitely am out of ideas. The only other thing I thought of was overtiredness as it’s hard to get her to nap during the day! X
Growth sprut? Mine is the same
