I need reassurance

I’m a first time and when my baby cries it breaks my heart. What I want to know is if my baby was super gassy, very refluxy or in pain etc. will her crying be inconsolable?? I tend to make myself feel better by saying if it was really bad she wouldn’t be calmed down by rocking or sitting in the bouncer etc. is this true or am I feeding myself lies!?!?

I'm the same and I get super anxious about it. He's got reflux and trapped gas and I also find it heartbreaking even though people say it's normal for babies to cry.

I always follow the rule of hungry babies or uncomfortable babies will be so much harder to settle. Sometimes if you’ve gone through your mental checklist of food / nappy / cold or hot / uncomfortable / gas and they’re still whingy then cuddles should suffice x

I'm the same! First time mum too, and even with nappy changes I get emotional when my baby gets distressed - he hates nappy changes and cries a lot. Even when my husband does the nappy change I'm quick to scoop the baby up and cuddle him afterwards until he stops crying. I do a lot of skin to skin, or cuddles in general, and that calms him (and me ha!) 😄

Skin to skin should help a lot inshaAllah! My baby had his 8 week vaccines yday and was crying soo so much after. It broke my heart because there was truly nothing I could do to ease his pain. He did calm with skin to skin and the crying only lasted a couple of hours on and off
