Tongue tie or reflux?

Just wondering if anyone could offer some advice regarding possible tongue tie? My LO is nearly 7 weeks old, bottle fed and has the following symptoms… Very gassy, unsettled during and sometimes after feeding, occasionally sick and spits a lot, chokes/gags/coughs a lot during feeds, makes a clicking noise when fed, milk dribbles down his chin a lot, he hates being burped and will throw himself back, he struggles to burp and then may be sick after, has awful hiccups , sticks his tongue out a lot during feeding and after, pushes the bottle teat out a lot then sucks it back in and never seems content after a feed unless if he falls asleep. He will fidget a lot and arch his back. Just wondering if anyone thinks this could be due to a possible tongue tie or just reflux? Thank you!

Could be both! Take him to a pediatrician who can check the tongue tie. 7 weeks is a little old to get it reversed but might still want to look into it. It has other effects later in life. You may want to consider a lower flow level of nipple and burp every 20-30ml especially if he's choking and gaging and making a mess. If it's just reflux it will get better as he gets older!!

My LO is 8 weeks and the reflux symptoms started at 1.5 weeks. Pretty much everything you're describing. What's helped is feeding smaller volumes more often so like instead of 4 oz every 3 hours we'll do 1.5 oz every 2 hours. Slower flow nipple and pace feeding. Also keeping him upright for 30 mins after feeding helps. As pp mentioned it gets better as they get older. Definitely discuss with your doctor too
