Waited until I was 20 weeks

We waited 12 weeks. Told mum via email just as we were about to do it so she could prepare for them coming home and also that it wouldn’t slip out before we could tell them. Worked perfectly as mum appreciated the heads up. It was my choice, my husband said it’s none of her business which it isn’t but it impacts her children so it felt civil to give a heads up

We did the same as @Mel waited till 12 weeks but gave his mum the heads up first n case he went to her with any questions. Would have told him sooner but we didn’t tell some family members till 12 weeks and I didn’t want his mum knowing before they did

Same here. Let step-sons' mum know after 12 week scan, before telling them later that day

We waited until 20 weeks both times (same time we announced on fb) - family and friends knew at 12 weeks but we wanted to wait to tell my SS bc we didn’t want him to tell all of the other side of his family before we announced on fb

We waited until 14 weeks. Told the BM on the phone when the kids were at ours for the weekend so that she had time to process it.
