My baby was on nutramigen. Similar to your Babies symptoms. Doctors said to keep going as can take a while to settle he eventually did took about 6 weeks I’d say he’s been absolutely fine since. x
I was given aptimal pepti and she got worse on this so was then in hospital over night being monitored. They then decided because she had no rash she didn’t have CMPA and gave her a thickener instead of gaviscon. We’re due back for a review on Friday and it hasn’t got any better really except she’s not arching in pain anymore 🤦🏽♀️
We are neoncate and he had a bad reaction to nutrimigen.
That what he like with every feed 4 times in 1 feed.
@Sandra my little one is on Neocate too and he keeps vomiting since being on it, this will be nearly 2 weeks x
Definitely give it time, it took weeks for my baby to settle on SMA Alfamino , the inflammation in the gut takes time to heal - that’s why they say give it 6 weeks
My nearly 7 week old is on Aptamil Pepti and he’s worse than what he was when on cow and gate anti reflux…. Following you post if you don’t mind🙏🏼
@Amy Aptamil Pepti is the worst one my bub was on, had to stop it straight away x
@Jennifer they have now switched me back to cow and gate🤔😵💫x
@Amy they did the same to me. She was on gaviscon too which they then decided to give her just carobel (my eldest had this and it was amazing for her) however she is still being sick with diarrhoea luckily no blood in her stools anymore but they just seemed to not be bothered even though she wasn’t gaining weight like expected. She has a review Friday but it’s been a tough 12 weeks. I don’t want to wish it away but ill be glad when she’s eating solids 😅
@Siobhan I’m glad it’s not just me that they’ve done it too, it’s tough isn’t it but we’ve got this 🙏🏼 thankfully he’s only been on it 3 days and not ages x
Asked heal baby care app and sharing in case it helps: "I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way; it sounds incredibly challenging. Since you've recently switched to a new milk and your baby is experiencing runny stools and discomfort, it might be worth considering if the new formula is suitable for him. Sometimes, babies can have sensitivities or allergies to certain ingredients in formulas, which can lead to digestive issues. In addition to monitoring his reactions to the new milk, ensure he stays hydrated, as diarrhea can lead to dehydration. If the reflux medication isn't helping, it might be beneficial to discuss with your healthcare provider about trying a different approach or formula. Have you noticed any specific triggers that seem to worsen his discomfort, or have there been any changes in his feeding routine?"
@Amy honestly I feel like they don’t know what they’re doing x
This is so tough. Is everyone going through their GP rather than hospital/paediatrician? It's so hard seeing your baby unhappy and knowing that if formula was sorted they would be so much better

Initially GP but then I kept getting sent to hospital. I was getting somewhere then when they changed shifts I got a new doctor who said because she doesn’t have a rash it isn’t CMPA so I could just have a hard baby. I think if I hadn’t already had another (a year ago) I might think that too but definitely something isn’t right.
That's so bad!! I just spoke to a GP who immediately prescribed neocate but I think it's because his son had CMPA and he had sympathy!
Hey what milk is it? We've been trialling nutrimigen and it's no better!
