Double buggy

I know this question gets asked a lot but I totally feel lost when it comes to it. My little girl will be 20 months old when baby no. 2 gets here in December. I go out a lot by myself with my 1 year old and dog and will be going out a lot more as soon as I get my licence. I am probably looking for something that doesn't exist. I would like to have newborn facing me and toddler facing the world but can seem to find anything that isn't under £1000. Has anyone got recommend anything like this please

We have the ickle bubba Virgo growing family. Can be used as a single or double pram- I put baby in bassinet on the top facing me and toddler on the bottom either world facing or facing me if he’s going to nap as easier to recline the seat back. It’s a great pram and think it cost us around £500 x

I got a oyster max3 2nd hand if I'm honest on fb market and paid £70 - it came with everything!

@Elle (i can't see waves) we got our travel system for our first second hand from Gumtree. Honestly it saved us loads

Yeahh such a relief , I be honest i don't drive so tandem suits us but I would loveeee a side by side especially now baby is getting older, however it's not practical hahaha! As yourself would love a buggaboo fox i think I duno but yeah..... that's like my rent 🤣🤣🤣 Buying a double pram is like Buying a house ffs 🫠🫠🫠

What about this.... I mean it's under £1000 In the sale 🤔 https://www.cosatto.com/products/wow-xl-rotating-everything-bundle-bureau?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNPzanBs3pX48UlD4WIZWytwLVWUCTtTqs5m-VE6Lw4fmYWG6JLsCcQaAiloEALw_wcB

@Elle (i can't see waves) I was thinking about just getting a buggy board but I'm not convinced she'll be ready for that kinda thing

I got a bugaboo donkey second hand off of Facebook marketplace that lets you have either both ways, it’s great imo. I also got the outnabout double nipper so have tried two double prams now if you have any questions x

Yeah totally understand I would love a buggy bored / seat however my 3yr old was prem and has alot of delays in all aspects sooo he wouldn't grasp the concept, he still loves a sleep...m I'm dreading school next year as I think I'll be taking him in a buggy at his rate.... he's such a dinky boy - compared to his sister 😫 whos 1 but double the size of him..... Time will telll 💜

@Natalya thank you. I have a German Shepherd cross Husky so need a fairly big car to fit him in anyway 😅

@Sophie hi ! Please tell me more about the out and about one. I have my eyes on it but too many options and i bought the ickle bubba Venus but sent it back because it was massive and heavy. Is the out and about light enough and worth it? Thank you

With the out n about nipper double and mountain buggy duet, you can get newborn bassinets that are parent facing. They’re both under £1k new with accessories.

@Ana hey. So we have the newborn bassinet for it aswell. Comparing weight to my bugaboo it’s about 7kg lighter, from memory the bugaboo is 19ish and the outnabout is 12.5, I think. It is so much lighter and I noticed this especially when pushing it uphill et cetera it is really easy to push with one hand and steer. Outnabout Pros Folds down very easily and more compact although because one piece you still need a decent size boot Lightweight and steers easily Appears Comfortable Really convenient Outnabout cons The buckles are super annoying to do up as they are five point but not magnetic so you have to hold them altogether at the same time ? Hard to describe but I find it a nightmare with a wriggly toddler. The sunshade doesn’t expand all the way down so even fully down my toddler is still exposed . To sit the seat up when the child is in it, you have to hold their weight (push seat to where you want it) whilst adjusting the toggle - very annoying

These are the little things I’ve found a bit annoying so far! My bugaboo definitely has cons too though. I think all doubles will just depends which ones annoy you more!

@Sophie thank you. Great info! I appreciate it. would you say it fits in buses and standard size doors?

@Ana yes I haven’t struggled with any doors or anything with the outnabout. I think it’s a good 2cm narrower than my donkey. (I’ve only struggled with that a couple of times tbh but wouldn’t advise that one for public transport)

If you do end up with a bugaboo donkey you can swap the seat out for a buffalo seat which fits bigger toddlers. Theres a facebook group that sells different bugaboo parts and prams xx
