When to book a private scan?

6 weeks onwards is advised as it’s often too early to see anything before that, I’ve got one for around 7.5 weeks 🤞🏻☺️

We had a scan around 6 + 4 and we saw a heart beat :)

I’m booked in for 7w 3 days just incase I’m earlier then I think x

I would go afterwards or aim for like day before holiday. Because if you're even a couple days early if can throw off being able to find a heartbeat and cause you massive anxiety sometimes completely needlessly! I was a week further ahead when I had my dating scan so your own dates can be off slightly depending on when you ovulated which will affect from when you'll be able to hear a heartbeat.

@Bethan totally hear you on this, however I think I’d rather go sooner just to give myself a bit of buffer before hols in case I need to go for another scan, or it’s not the news I’m hoping for 💕

I found it really reassuring to have as it was my first pregnancy.
