C section date

I was told I would be scheduling my c section in july, tomorrow at 27 weeks

I know this isn’t super helpful, but it depends on your OB, your reason for a c section / level of risk, and your hospital. For me, I was scheduled for a 37 week c section for placenta previa and received my scheduled date at my 36 week appointment, however, I didn’t get my surgery time until the day before.

I’m due December 1st. This will be my second c section. They want to do it the week before Thanksgiving. 🫠 I wish they’d do it December 1st lol

Asked heal baby care app and sharing in case it helps: "Typically, a scheduled C-section is arranged around 39 weeks of pregnancy to minimize risks for both the mother and baby, unless there are specific medical reasons to schedule it earlier. Since your OB-GYN mentioned delivering between 38 and 39 weeks, they may be planning to schedule your C-section soon, possibly during your next appointment. It's important to discuss any concerns or preferences you have regarding the timing with your doctor. Have you had a chance to ask your OB-GYN about the specific date or any reasons for the timing?"

I was scheduled for 39 weeks currently 21 weeks .

I was scheduled in my 37th week for my first pregnancy because of previa and I actually went into labour the day of my scheduled c-section. I think it depends on the OB, I know other friends who doctors book them for 39 weeks.

I have a section booked for my third baby at 38+1. I'm 36 weeks today and measuring 90th centile. I've had a planned section at 38+5 for my first who was breech and my second was emergancy due to failed progression xx

@Heaven there are multiple reasons. It was a high risk pregnancy from me having multiple losses, I also just had my first living baby 10 months ago via emergency c section, and this baby was diagnosed with FGR (fetal growth restriction) that just resolved itself last week thankfully.

My c section is scheduled at 38+5 due to my fibroids and received confirmed date at 35 weeks
