RSV vaccine

Does anyone know how late we can have this done? How many weeks were you when you got it? I'm 32+4 but haven't had the vaccine yet as I've been really unwell recently and on antibiotics so my GP surgery wouldn't book me in. I'm feeling better now but wondering if I've missed the boat on this...

I’ve been told it doesn’t matter how late you have it x

I’ve been told you have until 36 weeks to get it. But I am 33 weeks and was also unwell last week and chose to delay mine, I’m feeling a bit better this week but will probably hold off till next week to make sure I’m completely recovered!

I thought it said 36 weeks. I’m getting mine today at 33 weeks

I had mine booked in for 36 weeks been told it doesn't matter same with the whooping cough one too x

Getting mine this week and I’ll be 35 weeks xx

I got the whooping cough vaccine when I was 34+ couple days but it’s advised to be take before 32 weeks. However they still recommend you taking the vaccine because there has to be a window of 2 weeks so that the vaccine can get to the baby and support them. Maybe search it up on chat GPT it’s really helpful

I had mine at about 34 weeks

I got my RSV vaccine at 29 weeks

There’s a minimum time to have it, but no real maximum. They advise you to have it at least 2 weeks before delivery, so that it has time to pass to baby, so they’d probably aim for 35/36 weeks, just in case. I’m having mine tomorrow, at 33w 6 days.

I’ve just had mine at 33 weeks. I think you can have anytime between 28-36 weeks for maximum immunity to be passed along. But you can have it later but just won’t pass as many antibodies to baby.

I'm going to be 36+5 when I have mine due to my doctor's being useless and the hospital drop in only being on a Monday when I'm either a. at work or b. it's been a bank holiday!

Mine is booked in for when I’m nearly 35 weeks. They just didn’t have anything any earlier at the gp. X
