Absolutely fuming!!

Just had a phonecall from the hospital where my little girl was born. She had an x ray when she was a few hours old as she was having trouble with her breathing. They've done a review of her treatment and she was given an adult dose of x-ray as opposed to the dosage for a newborn baby! They've assured me that the risk is very low and it happened due to human error etc... but what do I do? Naturally I'm worried now

This is negligence! I’m so sorry this happened to you and your baby.I would definitely take this further!

The hospital should be opening up an internal investigation at the least. My friends boy (11) was given the wrong dose of medication a few weeks ago, and they said a full internal investigation would be carried out, and she'd be advised of the outcome. Is there anything they can do for your daughter to check what her exposures levels are/were so you've got confirmation? If needed, I'd also speak to citizens advice and see if there's anything they advise in regards to the hospitals negligence. Hope your little girl is OK, and you too! X
