1 month of daycare
And we're nowhere close to settling. We don't interact with others (quite the opposite of her usual personality) we choose one corner in the daycare. We don't eat and we don't sleep there at all. Teachers try for an hour to get us to sleep and eat. Teachers are wanting to figure out how to even get us to like them. They've tried everything. And we've been sick 3 times already. (Which was expected but this is seriously hampering our ability to integrate). Any words of affirmation or ideas on how to help integrate/settle in daycare better would be welcome.
Hang in there mama some time integrating can be challenging! Ask about maybe letting jim have a comfort stuffy or something from home just til he gets settled. Getting sicknis yes apart of it but also does not help in the transition stage. . You. I wonder if the center is able to add in an extra staff for a few days so the main staff members can take turns trying to focus on making the connection with your child. It does eventually click. Consistency is important and how moma reacts at drop-off can make a difference to.. how did they start the transition Into care?
