Nappy suggestions

Feeling overwhelmed with nappy brands and sizes. Is there a way to know what to buy for the first few days at the hospital? I’m a GD mum, the baby could be big or small, I really don’t know at this point. Eventually, I want to move to reusable ones. Have already received a lot of discouraging feedback about how it’s impossible.. so feel free to drop any suggestions or words of encouragement for reusable ones also please.

I'm hoping to use reusable from when they are a couple of months old (as advised by a few friends and family who have also done reusables). I bought a load of tots bots reusable from FB marketplace as they are all in ones so less faff. For disposables for the start I've just bought a cheap pack of newborns and the first size. If we don't use them, I'm sure the local food bank would appreciate them

I would just go for a size one nappy for the first few days, even if it’s a big baby that should fit most. No words of encouragement for reusables sorry, but hats off to you for considering it!

My friend was saying the Aldi nappies are great as well as their formula. The midwife’s at the hospital recommended them and said not to waste your money on the other brands as it’s all pretty much the same. My sister in law used reusable nappies so she has given me all of hers. She said they were amazing especially at the beginning. Only struggle she had was due to the time of year as you need to air dry them but summer babies we should be fine :)

We found the Sainsbury’s own ones to be really good. Started with Aldi but found when he got more wriggly they would leak often. Never had a problem with the Sainsbury’s own one so going to try them this time round and see how we get on!
