@Jayde I’m saying till this day she is different. Not just the day after or a week after. She had these vaccinations weeks / months ago. Every parent knows their child & since those jabs, there is 1000% a change & not in a good way.
Personally I think our LO change a lot at 1 anyway, my girl went through a patch of being grumpy, needy, and poorly, I don't think this had any relation to the vaccines and more developmental plus her starting nursery... So much is going on for them so I think it's hard to pin point what can cause it and could be a coincidence to the jabs?
A change in attitude/temperament around 1 year old is normal, you'll find lots of us complaining about our suddenly angry 1 year olds at the minute, my little girl hasn't had her vaccines yet but she's gone from being a literal ray of sunshine to an absolute gremlin in the last 4 weeks. So it could be a result of the vaccines for you, but it could just be a normal developmental stage.
@Georgina totally get that. But it’s also not unknown for vaccines to be negative on children.
@Jayde totally get that. But it’s also not unknown for vaccines to be negative on children.
@Georgina it's no, but that's because people will complain about the tiniest little change and say it is the vaccine that caused it even though it's likely to be something completely different. Personally my little girl will be getting all her vaccines, especially with the rise of measles, I'd rather her be grumpy and uncomfortable for a while than catch something preventable and die
Vaccines don’t cause a personality change. Kids go through so many changes at 1 year, they’re becoming proper little people, testing boundaries, growth spurts, molars coming through, 2-1 sleep transitions, I could go on but totally normal for your little one to be grumpy around this time. My first was so chill and still is but I do remember around 1 she started nursery and went mental, screaming at night, wouldn’t go to bed whereas before she was a 7-7 sleeping kid. My second who is 1 has just started throwing major tantrums when he cant reach something, sees a packet of food/toy he wants, isn’t fed quick enough and he hasn’t had his jabs yet as he’s having an operation in a couple of weeks so I’m waiting until after then. My little boy has had 3 hospital stays this year already which was horrifying. please don't let her catch something preventable by not getting her boosters x
@Shenel I think how her leg was when she had her jabs really put me off, it was awful. And it was a clear reaction & the doctor also said it was a reaction to the jabs. Surely it can’t be any good if it’s causing a bad reaction to the body??
My son has his 12 month jabs on Friday and every other vaccines he has had he’s had a fever, a reaction at the injection site and been really irritable and upset for the following few days. I personally haven’t made a connection between changes to his temperament and the vaccines themselves, as other people are saying I have always attributed these changes to his development/teething/illness etc. My opinion is as tough as it is seeing my son in pain and upset from having the vaccines I’ll still be taking him on Friday, to protect him but also to protect other babies and vulnerable people x
@Deborah as i said in a previous message, it wasn’t just a few days after, this is weeks and months after her jabs. She’s been the same ever since the day she had them done & has shown no improvement. That’s completely your decision to have those done. Personally what I’ve been reading & research etc. I don’t think I’ll be going ahead with boosters
@Georgina I know it’s horrible for us to see them cry from the jabs but it’s really common to have a local reaction. The last stint my little boy was in hospital he had 2 lots of blood tests and 2 cannulas inserted in different areas, I had to hold him down for all of it while he was screaming and they were trying to find his little vein 😢 he also had a feeding tube inserted into his nose and 6 days of antibiotic injections to fight the infection, he was covered in bruises and scared to lay down for a nappy change for a good couple of weeks after. I would take the localised reaction from an immunisation to that experience every time x
@Shenel as I said in a previous message, this hasn’t gone on for just a day or a few days. It’s weeks and months after with 0 improvement or change in her behaviour. Since the jab, she’s remained the same. Totally your decision to get them done, but after how she’s been I don’t think I’ll be getting boosters
I understand where you’re coming from I’m sorry to hear this! My baby brother seemed okay and all himself talking , eating well etc had his vaccinations around 1 and started getting food aversions and now can’t speak in sentences. He suffers with bowel problems due to eating disorder and his life is affected daily bc of it. It’s heartbreaking and ignorant if people believe vaccines don’t have anything to do with it these days, it’s not a coincidence! Vaccines probably were safer years back but ingredients change all the time! So I decided not to vaccinate my son in the end. I hope your daughter is okay.
@Skye personally I feel people just think these vaccines are for the better. It’s not necessarily the case all the time. And it’s definitely more of a money thing for pharmaceutical companies. I don’t believe a child so young needs so many vaccinations. It’s not right

@Georgina Yep I agree! Big pharma can’t trust them can you. Every doctor has different answers to the same health problems. So how do we trust these type of “professionals “ when they just go by the book
I get where your coming from but a point a view from a 1 year old who hasn’t been vaccinated yet, my LO has changed these past few weeks. More grumpier, has a little temper on her etc. it’s all new development etc that is happening. Yes you cannot always trust these vaccines but ultimately they were brought in for a reason to help stop the spread of certain deadly diseases x
I think it's totally normal to have that kind of reaction to being stuck with a needle, I absolutely would not expect my little girl to be her normal happy self the day off and after her vaccines. I certainly am a bit grumpy when I get booster/vaccines or even just see a doctor. You only ever see negatives because people only ever share the negative sides of things, there are millions of people that have vaccines and have absolutely no reaction to them at all.
