Inositol for pcos ?

Is anyone here using an inositol supplement for PCOS? Have you found a product that actually works for you? The more I research, the more overwhelmed I feel. I keep reading that it should contain both myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol, ideally in a 40:1 ratio — but there are so many options out there and it’s hard to know which one to trust. I’d love to hear about your personal experiences or any recommendations!

I’ve been taking ashwaghanda, lions mane (can’t spell it) and folate , and I’m going to make the switch to this one bc it’s just as if not more effective than what i am doing without the side effects of growing facial hair on my goatee and mustache 😂 it’s amazing, Id say find one w myo-inosital and d-chiro exactly like you said and you should be fine, I read the information on the side and the amount of each one and go based off your gut,

Hi I take inositol I first started taking it around 3 years ago at the age of 33. My periods up until that point were extremely irregular and I now have a consistent cycles. They are still slightly longer than the usual 28 days but I consistently have a period every month around every 35 days. I use fertility family who are a uk healthcare company that are actually recommended by fertility doctors as I was recommended at my ivf clinic and ended up not needing to have ivf and I believe it was down to taking these supplements. I hope that’s helpful.

I take pregnacare pre conception tablets that contains inositol and my pcos has never been better!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! That’s really encouraging to hear. I honestly wish I had known about this before starting IVF . it might have made a big difference for me too. I’m so happy it worked out for you and that your cycles became more regular. I’ll definitely check out Fertility Family as well

@eda to be honest I don’t know why it isn’t recommended more by doctors and specialists as it seems to be pretty effective for a lot of women that have PCOS. I wasn’t recommended until quite far in to my ivf journey I had been in the system for 2 years and happened to have a different consultant one day who mentioned it to me. Then I found out I was pregnant about a week before my funding was approved x

@Lesley That’s honestly so surprising and frustrating! It’s such a simple supplement but can clearly make a huge difference. I really don’t understand why it’s not mentioned earlier either, especially when so many women seem to benefit from it. I’m so glad that consultant finally brought it up for you and what perfect timing with the pregnancy news right before your funding! Such a beautiful outcome after such a long journey xx

@eda thank you. I wish you all the luck and hope you find something that works for you too. It’s a hard journey but worth it in the end x

I used inofolic alpha. Regulated my periods nicely!
