Nursery
Hi everyone, my little boy is 2 years old and on Monday he started nursery, 5 hours 3 days a week, he cried alot when I take him and sort of clings onto me and doesn’t want me to put him down, this is making me feel really cruel and full of guilt 😞
The staff at the nursery have told me that today whilst playing out he has just been following them around and has been on / off getting upset, is anybody else’s little 1 like this and does it seem to get better? I really hope he learns to fit in as I know for sure he will eventually like it as he loves to play / be active.
How did everyone else find it when their little 1 started nursery?

It does get better! It's taken 7 months for my little girl to get somewhat settled, and she still gets upset and is a shadow to her key worker too x
Going through the exact same atm! Mine is in 2 and a half hours Mon-Fri and has started this week. I dropped him off this morning and he had a meltdown. I walked the dog past the nursery 40 mins later and he was still crying when I walked past (he didn’t see me). It honestly broke my heart & I’m hoping he’ll settle soon 🥺🥺😢

It does get better. I'll be genuine with you, it can take around 4 weeks for them to settle properly. It is really tough on us mums, but soon he'll be having such a good time you'll forget all about the hard times settling him in. X
