@Caitlan ugh, the thought of that makes me a little uncomfortable š¬ Iām heading to the drs now to do the swab but hoping the cream works š
To be honest, I believe the pessaries are to treat the thrush and the cream is to help with any itching or discomfort. I didnāt like the thought of the tablets either but you didnāt notice they were in there and they did dissolve. Very annoying with the chalky discharge you get but other than that not bad at all xx
Iāve never had it before until pregnancy either! I used the pessary, they will probably tell you but you donāt use the applicator you use your finger to push it in (this is what I got told anyway) and honestly once itās done itās fine apart from the chalky discharge like caitlan said xx
Iāve been suffering bad with thrush and the canestan has been a life saver.
Started using the cream today so hoping that helps š
For me the pessaries are the only thing that clears it up, I got it with my first pregnancy. Iāve never minded doing them though itās just the leaking thatās annoying
Iāve never had thrush before and had it twice already this pregnancy! Iāve done a swab with the midwife to confirm and Iāve had pessarys both times. I think itās back a third so Iāve made a doctors appointment now for next week to confirm and hopefully try a weeks worth to get it finally sorted!
Iāve had thrush before and the pessaries arenāt uncomfortable they melt super quickly and youāll feel relief soooo quickly ! Theyāre to treat thrush inside while the creams treat externally so best to combine both! Hope this helps mama! X
Try drinking cranberry juice and reducing sugar and white bread and see if it helps you can also add a bit of cider vinegar to your bath. Worked for me

I thought that to but I got thrush for the first time and was so shocked that apparently itās very common in pregnancy. Anti biotics werenāt offered to me only the pessaries which I had to use for 7 days x
