I am on iron tablets too and my midwife advised me to take the tablets first thing in the morning with an orange juice. The vitamin C helps to absorb the tablet apparently before it gets to your bowels which causes the constipation. Then I can have my breakfast/cup of tea an hour later. I’ve been doing that for 2 months and have so far avoided constipation 🤞🏼🙌🏼

My Dr said to have a kiwi a day and it helps things move also a lot of water (8 cups a day) and to add electrolytes packages

Prune fruit and juice really helped me
I spoke to my midwife and was given lactulose. After taking it on and off for a week or so, my body adjusted itself and I’ve had no more issues
