Seat units

What age did you put your baby in the seat unit part of the pram ? My little boy is nearly 11 weeks and will not lay in the bassinet and hasn’t wanted to for a while and I don’t want him in the car seat for long periods of time , we’ve been going between the car seat and the sling , and not ready to put him forward facing in a stroller

Could you not put him seated in the pram but facing you instead? My girl is 11 weeks and tries to sit up when I lay her down in the pram so I'm thinking this also

That’s what I’m thinking to put him in the seat unit facing me but I’ve seen online it says from 6 months

Some seat units allow from newborn so depends on your pram..if it lies flat you can. Also some prams do a newborn insert for the seat aswell (you can also buy generic ones that fit most) which can be a good compromise. I think the general rule is if they can hold their head up as you want space between their chin and chest to stop with breathing risks etc. what pram do you have?

@Sophie I have the egg pram so I’m unsure if it’s from birth

@Chels I don’t think so as it has bucket seats not lie flat. But they do do a newborn insert that makes it flat you can buy :) https://www.kidsstore.co.uk/webshop/prams-buggies-car-seats/egg/egg-newborn-insert/
