@Charley I understand that. I'm not knocking the quality etc. It's just something I'd never looked at before and was just a bit of a shock
The Tula Free2grow is a bit cheaper than the Explore. The only function it doesn't have is the forward facing - BUT as forward facing is only advised for 20ish minutes at a time and for only a short age group, we decided we didn't want to pay extra for that function. We got ours in sale a couple of months ago for 73 quid, but was annoyed that they then had an extra 25 percent off sale the week after and could have got it even cheaper, sods law! Also to add - I don't really get on with the Tula. My partner uses it but I found a second hand Neko Switch on Vinted which I much prefer. Def recommend joining the UK Babywearing FB group as often people will be selling second hand on there, or you could post asking if anyone is selling what you want.
I have Infantino flip 4 in 1 from Argos. Very good. I tried also Momcozy comfortable for me but my baby hates it. Also we are now in forward facing. Where I live sling libraries are expensive plus hiring is double cost 😯
Have you checked fb marketplace/ebay/gumtree in addition to Vinted? I have a different baby carrier, but I got mine off eBay….
I got my carrier off vinted!
I got mine from fb marketplace
Vinted! I got mine new with tags never used for £5.. I tested it before putting my little on in and it's perfect.. when I say testing I mean I got my husband to pull and yank on it to test the straps I still hold her when she's in there but definitely worth a look on vinted. You can get some on amazon also.
A fellow mum recently told me about mum2mum markets- not sure if there is one nearby for you?
Tula is a well made and well respected brand that has safety and ergonomics as their primary focus, so unfortunately that comes with a price.
