Braxton hicks?

Feeling strong cramps in back and abdomen after sex that come and go. Should I wait it out? Can this be actual labor? First pregnancy and I can’t tell 😭 due on May 10!

Time them and if they become more frequent and longer go in! Sex can cause contractions especially if an orgasm happens!! Have you lost your mucous plug with bloody show yet? Has your water broken? All things to keep your eyes on!! Congratulations also on your first ❤️❤️

Sex can trigger some cramping, totally normal. Unless they are getting stronger and close together I wouldn’t worry 😊

Track them for a hour!

This happened to me this past Wednesday after sex. I called in and they didn’t think my pains were actual contractions 🙃 but told me I could come in and check but they would send me home if I wasn’t ready. Let’s just say my water broke at the desk within 5 minutes of getting there. They rushed me to a room and I had her almost standing up. I had NO plans of having a unmedicated birth 🥴 My advice to anyone is to go in and get checked. If I had listened to the nurse and doctor over the phone I would have had her at home or in the car 😂

They went away after about 40 minutes! Thank you all 😭❤️

@Andree wow!!!!! Listening to your gut is key 🔑

@Lili thank you 🥰🥳

Follow the 5-1-1 rule to know if you should go in for future reference. Contractions 5 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute, consistently for 1 hour. But obviously this isn't an exact science. If you feel like you're in active labor go in even if contractions aren't follow8ng that pattern. You'll know if it's getting serious haha
