discovered a lump

Your gp will check the lump and will automatically refer you to get it checked out. I had a lump and checked it this time last year to be told it’s just breast tissue so try not to panic, I know it’s hard not to x

where do they refer you to get it checked out? to do a screening?

To hospital they sent me to st jimmys The staff were all really lovely and it was really quick they just did an ultrasound around the area. It seemed really thorough. I felt a bit silly because it wasn’t a massive lump but they reassured me it’s always better to check x

I found a lump when I was 19 and I was referred (also to Jimmy’s!) where they did an ultrasound scan and a biopsy (didn’t feel a thing) which came back clear. About a year ago I was concerned it had grown as it was painful, so went back and they did an ultrasound and compared it to the one I had when I was 19 and confirmed it hadn’t grown. Does it hurt to put pressure on the lump?
