Double buggy recommendations or do we even need one?

I have my first born who's 2 at the start of June and we are expecting our 2nd in late October. What double buggy would you recommend or do we even need one? I'm thinking we will need one at least for a bit as if we go on long walks he'll need to sit down

Out and about with carry cot attachment for baby xx

We’ve got the Ickle Bubba Venus Prime. We went with a stroller that has a newborn insert rather than a full travel system. It’s useful for us as our daughter can’t walk for a sustained period of time so if we’re walking far etc!

You won’t need one till the baby is at least 1 plus. You really only need it if you travel a lot, or go places often where your toddler is standing often and gets tired. We got one that was side by side just for our Japan trip, we don’t really use it any more though. But it’s nice to just have, we got one during Black Friday so it was cheap. I wouldn’t get an expensive one.

I would. His little legs will get tired. We used ours till he was 3 mostly he was walking and went in for a nap or if he couldn't walk far or shopping. I can't recommend a buggy though as I got pregnant when we got rid of his pram x

We had a joie aire and just baught a newborn insert off amazon to start with was great and perfect for both kids. Then we needed a buggy that would go off road for dog walks and went for the out and about and wish I'd got it from the start, so nice to push. Kids have their own space, smaller and more compact x

I’m due in august, our boy will be 2 beginning of June also, we weren’t going to get one.. we were going to wear the baby in a sling and still take the pram and swap and change between the 2 of them. X

Had my second in Feb so my June baby was 20 months. Thought we could go without a double and so waited and within the first weekend we knew we needed one. So got a second hand donkey. It’s massive but great! My daughter loves to hold babies hand too which is super cute. One big this for us is we don’t have a car so this is our main mode of transport and while my girl would like to walk everywhere, we also need to be able to put her in at times to help us. We were going to do baby carrier and stroller and still have this as an option but my son is loving the pram bassinet for now whereas my daughter hated it so preferring to take the double. You could also get a buggy board. I think we would’ve almost just done this but my girl was just a bit too young to solely rely on that but probably I’d your dates I would consider just that. Once baby is 6+ months so many more options because they can both go in a stroller seat. Could definitely go without but finding it easier with one.

Ours is due end of July, we’re going to get a double. Either out n about or mountain buggy duet. But, going to a showroom to look at both first. Then will probably look ok marketplace to buy one. My girl does walk a fair distance, but I know she’ll want to get in the buggy once the baby is.

Exact same! My daughter will be 2 in June and I’m due late October. Also don’t know whether I’ll need a double buggy! Don’t know about you but my toddler is a RUNNER😂 but equally hates the pram so don’t know if it’ll just be a waste of money! I have a friend in a similar position that recommend just wearing baby and then swapping them in and out of the pram should the toddler get tired feet. Think we’re going to opt for a buggy board and see how we get on🤞🏻 x

I had my 2nd in March and we started with a bugaboo donkey and it was huge so we sold it and got a single travel system. Debating getting a buggy board too, but we also have the joie aire in case we go on long walks like the zoo or something

I’m in the same situation. My little girl turns 2 mid June and I’m due baby number 2 mid October. At the moment we are thinking of getting a Bugaboo Donkey. We have the Bugaboo Fox 5 and the Bugaboo Butterfly and love both. I actually spotted a mum at a local children’s museum with a Bugaboo Donkey the other day and asked her what she thought of it and she said it was the best thing they’d bought. She had 4 children and said she would 100% recommend it. A few people suggested a board that you can clip onto our current pram but we walk a lot with our dog and go for runs out to country parks etc so I’m not sure it would cut it for us. My friend’s little girl still goes in their pram occasionally and she’s 3 and a half, so I think our little girl will need a proper seat. ❤️
