Nursery 30 hours
Looking for some advice in regard to the free 30 hours childcare, my child just turned 3 and she does 15hrs at a private stand alone nursery. I tried to apply for the 30hrs and it said I wasn’t eligible because I don’t work. I have tried to look for some work in the two days she is at nursery currently and it’s near impossible. I don’t have anyone to have my child. Any suggestions or advice please?

Hi my little girl had just turned 3 you won’t get the 30 hours if you’re not in work but she’ll get 15 free hours still in the term after they turn 3 so in sept
@Karli May I know but the nursery have told me I need to get a code now but when I go on there to do it it says I’m not eligible 🤷🏼♀️

@Gemma so she will continue to do 15hrs until she starts reception? In sept 2026?
Unless you start work to which she will be eligible for the 30 but all 3 years olds are entitled to 15 funded hours. X
But it will be term after she’s 3 she won’t be eligible until sept

You might be able to get disadvantaged 3 year old 30 hours but you’ll have to contact your local council. She also won’t be eligible for 30 hours until September x
