do you narrate everything to the baby? like constantly talking to the baby and reading books helps. Also responding to cues or any noise they make to help them out 😏 I didn’t do this with my first baby and she had a speech delay. My second born I would narrate everything i was doing through the day and the kids is very well spoken now at 7
Mine just started right before her 8 month mark. She was so concerned with learning how to crawl and pulling to stand i don't think she cared to even try to bable. It's not abnormal to be a bit behind the norm!
It will come eventually, this was the biggest thing they pushed with my son was constant speech intervention. One day he started talking full sentences. Some kids/babies just take longer and that’s ok❤️ my almost 9 month old is more less just making baby sounds with the occasional “mama” here and there. I was also told they will prioritize mobility over speech and vice-versa
I was stressed about this myself. My LO used to repeat what I was saying (babbling) somewhat, but seemed to stop dramatically lately. Lately it was only whining the past few weeks, but really not repeating or anything and it just made me nervous. Well he’s also in super teething mode, and his 2 teeth just popped through, and since then, he’s been babbling like crazy. Idk if your baby is teething or constantly has stuff in his mouth (outside the bunny) etc. They’re going through sooo many changes right now. I would just make sure you’re singing/talking/etc plenty. Also never a bad idea to do some basic baby ASL to kick start the communication if you want!
Mine is also not babbling yet. He turns 9 months on the 13th, but he was born 1 month earlier.
