Booking appointment has no scan. It's questions about your medical history and baby's fathers medical history and family medical history also. They also take urine and blood and weigh you x
They will only get an NHS scan before 12 weeks if they are worried about something. The first appointment is a getting to know the midwife, going over some questions and family history and taking some bloods. I can't remember if they need a wee sample at the first appointment. They do a basic health check like BP and weight but no scan
I had my first appointment today. Just discussed history and a few other bits and bobs with both of us. They did height, weight, blood pressure and a breathing test. I had to do a urine sample and then book for a blood test. We got a private scan today separately for reassurance 😊
