Sitting still

So my 3 year old daughter just started nursery school last week. She was a bit clingy today so I stayed for a few minutes until her teacher was free to give her one on one distraction while I went out. There were 11 kids in her group at registration today and I noticed my daughter was the only one not sitting still the whole time, she was playing with the toys and moving about. She still joined in with counting & rhymes but was playing while she did. 10 other kids about the same age, at least 1 of which started the same day as Lily all sitting still listening, my daughter the only one playing with toys and moving around has worried me so just looking for reassurance that's normal or do you think I have something to worry about?

Personally wouldn’t worry. It’s probably just because it’s all new to her, give her a couple of weeks to settle and then maybe you could ask the staff if they have any concerns with her concentration. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about though x

Totally normal! Mine was same when started nursery at 2 years. Only now sitting still for slightly longer periods at 3 and after a year of nursery. They say you shouldn’t expect them to sit still for more minutes than their age. They all have different personalities, some more active and busy than others.
