My little boy loves his trainers. I will put the link below. They are lighter than crocs which he’s also obsessed with. When trying other trainers they are just too heavy for his feet so always asks for his crocs or Nikes back on. We have some fake crocs for my daughter from next in a 5.5 she loves them, very comfy on her feet :)

@Cotswoldmama thank you! Just realised I didn’t read your first message correctly 😂 they don’t have a 5.5 at the moment but will keep an eye out
Have you looked into barefoot shoes? Crocks are wide in the toe box I believe so they don’t squash toes. Barefoot shoes also have wide toe boxes so might be more comfortable for them.
