Baby carrier

What’s the best baby carrier? I ordered a momcozy one but it’s huge, I’m only 5 foot and it covers all of my torso 🤣

Momcozy won’t get a great fit and definitely won’t fit at all until 3-4 months realistically. It also cannot world face if that’s something you’re interested in, personally didn’t appeal to me due to all the restrictions on it etc. A stretchy wrap for baby is a good shout for when they’re very young. I went for a Close Caboo which is sort of inbetween that and a carrier but I loved it. Then went to a Tula free to grow for my son when he was 3-4 months (I’m also 5 foot 😂). If you have a sling library it’s worth a visit to try some out. What works for one won’t work for another.

@Skye thank you Skye, I have a sling wrap but wanted something with a little more back support and something that isn’t as faffy getting it on and off x

Ergobaby embrace. We absolutely loved this carrier, so easy to put on and has the comfort of a wrap sling x

I have this one which is great and my baby loves it. I do find the straps tangle like the adjustment bits and the back support isn’t the best for me so I’ve switched to my mom cozy which I love, I’m 5’3 and it covers most of me but I think most carriers will, especially as the baby grows x https://izmibaby.co.uk/products/izmi-baby-carrier

Ergobaby embrace for a young baby if you want a buckle carrier

I loved my wildbird aerial carrier for birth- 18mos. So comfortable.

@Zara deffo close Caboo then! I got mine off Vinted for £4! it’s easier to get on but kinda like a stretchy wrap so supports new babies really well! X

There isn't a "best" option as such, what suits you and works best for you will be different to what suits/works best for someone else. I'd visit your local sling library if possible. They'll be able to give you advice and you can also try on slings and hire one for a few weeks to see if you really like it before buying one. If visiting isn't an option then there are lots that do online consultations and postal hire

I loved the caboo lite for the first 6 months. Like a wrap but half made up so you put it on like a t-shirt, tighten and add the cover over top. Saying that though, the one I got the most use out of was the ergo baby 360, comes you can get a newborn insert and then it can be used all the way up to toddlerhood. Although 1+ i started using the tula baby toddler carrier and can see us using it till atleast 4

@Ellie I’m looking at the ergo breeze which is the updated of the 360, just expensive!

@Zara ergobaby and Tula are bulky so definitely don't work for everyone. If you find the momcozy one bulky I doubt they'd work for you. As suggested already hire some to try before buying but I'd suggest something less bulky/padded like an integra.

Eegrobaby ! We were gifted one and it’s amazing (I’m 5’3 and it fits really comfortably)

@Niamh which one? Xx

@Zara trust me, look on Facebook!!
