Bleeding

My midwife seemed concerned yesterday that I was 22 days post c section and having a lot of blood in the toilet when I go for a wee. I don’t have much blood on my pad, and I am more active now which is what I thought it was down to. She started talking about left over tissue inside and concerns about that etc and it has made me really paranoid. I would have thought I’d have far worse symptoms than heavier bleeding if I had something abnormal going on. Anybody else bleed heavier some days and other days lighter?

I think I bled for about 5/6 weeks after my c section! It seemed to stop and then start again. Then it just stopped. Mine wasn’t concerned when mentioned it, keep an eye on it though and if it gets heavier let them know!

I was really not concerned. She just started saying all of these things because I get worse cramps in the night and it hurts sometimes when I am getting out of bed etc but I’m literally 3 weeks post surgery and everything online says that bleeding can be heavier with activity and when you are breastfeeding cramps overnight can be worse etc.

I bled for about 4 weeks, had a week of a break and then actually got my period so bleeding began again but I didn’t breastfeed. Bleeding shouldn’t be getting heavier and heavier but slow down overtime, however at 3 weeks PP I think it’s normal to still bleed. Perhaps she’s concerned as there is t much blood on your pad but you see it when you go to the toilet. I had blood in my wee in pregnancy, perhaps ask her next time (or your doctor) if they could test your wee? Mine was a simple urine infection, a course of antibiotics cleared it up.

I didn't stop bleeding for 5 weeks when I had my c-section, my midwives weren't concerned but always better to keep an eye on it and check back in with them if you're worried 🥰
