I used the baby bjorn carrier today for the first time and baby loved it!! Would defo recommend
Infantino flip 4in1 seems a bit complicated initially but the support is amazing. Better than the several others I used for my first.
Try get to a sling library as you can try a few types and get a fit check. I loved my Stokke Lima and we also have the ergo which is good for more serious walks
Close caboo was best for me for the first few months. It’s half carrier half sling so really good for newborns. In terms of carriers for really young babies I know some people rate the mamaruga zensling but I don’t have any experience with it! X
Once I got an Ergobaby original I never went back.
We love our baby bjorn one - they’re easy to get baby in and out of; and they offer good support for baby and mum/dad. Going to a sling library is also really useful way of trying a few out though.
Currently using a Ergobaby newborn one
Ergobaby omni 360 100%!! You’ll probably be able to get one off of vinted, got mine on there for half the price and it was as good as new! 🤩 I would look into what carriers provide support for baby’s hips, their legs need to be in an M shape so absolutely avoid the baby bjorn
I feel like my babies head would floppp way too much in a carrier just now.. I have the Scottish baby box wrap and don’t like that either
Baby Bjorn all the way, I got mine off Facebook marketplace
I have the manaruga zensling and love it, it’s supportive but not bulky
Babybjorn, one of the best!
Do not use the sling for a newborn, It's so dangerous because it can put their head in a position where it cuts off their airway and they will silently just pass out without even struggling so you don't know that it's happening
I’ve got an ergobaby aura sling! Used it for the first time today and baby loved it. 🥰

@PJ this is awful advice for a mum of a brand new baby. Babywearing including slings is completely safe… when done safely.
Have you looked for any local sling libraries to you?
