Try and get on an open cup as not good for their teeth to still have bottles at that age. Also you want to brush teeth last thing before bed with no milk after. Just water if needed
@Francesca not sure if youāre talking to me but appreciate the advice! however my son goes dentist and his teeth and perfectly fine for his age, he only has the 1 bottle at night and his teeth are brushed every morning (heās still getting use to the toothbrush) and tbh heās still getting use to keep a cup down while drinking through a straw so itās a slow process at the minute!š and thankfully he hasnāt had a dummy since he was about 10/11 months old x
@Autumn I used a comfort bottle of milk before bed and in the morning until my first day of primary school and I had absolutely no teeth problems, my son loves his night and morning bottle and I donāt see the rush in taking it away. I donāt even see how less than 10 minutes a day of sucking could even remotely ruin the teeth, or the shape of the palate! What I started doing is just water down semi skimmed milk (half milk half water) just so itās not too heavy but otherwise honestly I wouldnāt stress! I was genuinely curious whatās the majority of kids doing at this age, but wonāt change my choice š„°
she never took a bottle but she still breastfeeds just before bed, so still having milk!
@Veronica i 100% agree with you!! iām definitely not in a rush to get rid of his bottle as like you said less than 10 minutes of sucking on a bottle a day wonāt do any damage to his teethšx
Like a baby bottle? If so, no he drinks from a sippy cup, water bottle, regular cupā¦
My boy still has a bottle in the evening then we brush his teeth. My boy doesnāt get a lot of dairy in diet as he doesnāt like cheese or yogurtā¦so we will keep giving him the bottles ā¦itās not hurting him so why not āŗļø
We still have one bottle before bed too. I was really worried incase it started to affect her teeth, but lI spoke to the dentist and she said as long as we stop before she turns 3 thereās no risk of damage to her teeth. X
No. You should transition to straw bottles or open cups so they can get used to those.
Didnāt read the full comment you wrote, it seemed quite rude, and it seems as if you deleted it. But what I commented is what I did obviously with my kids or I wouldnāt have said it, and clearly other ppl are saying the same thing.
Nothing rude here! I was just pointing out this is simply a poll, not a request for recommendations ;) but thanks for your input š
Right and I answered the question to the poll. I said no. Iām not the only person that also gave out recommendations, so to just say something to me is weird and the way you said it was rude. But like I said you should transition. A 2.5 yr old shouldnāt be drinking out of a baby bottle.
@Nami some bottles are specifically designed for toddlers which is what a lot of mothers would be using for them.
@Nami to each their own. I stopped the whole babying thing after 1. Switched to toddler cups lol. Heās 2 now able to drink from a bottle, sippy cup, regular cup etc lol. But some moms whoās kids are 3 still drinking from baby bottles lol

@Autumn itās not necessary, itās sold that way to make money. Toddlers donāt need sippy cups or bottles. Theyāre capable of learning how to use open cups and drink out of straws. Both my kids never even seen a sippy cup, and have practiced using open cups since they started eating solids. But to each their own. Iām just trying to say itās an extra transition you have to go through when you add sippy cups/bottles like that.
@Jasmyn girl same. I just think itās crazy seeing a grown little baby walking around holding a baby bottle⦠š but hey like you said, to each their own lol
