Switching OB’s

I had to switch my OB to a midwife @ 30 weeks pregnant due to relocating, haven’t seen a doctor in a month or so && I finally was able to get my insurance sorted && an appointment scheduled for next week! I can’t wait to see my baby && see how many lbs she’s packed on since my last ultrasound nearly 10 weeks ago..Thank GOD!

I would love to switch to a new Dr/midwife. I’m 29 weeks and wondering if I’m overreacting to not liking my Dr. Most of my friends tell me to switch when I tell them if my experience but still. Was the new practice open to taking you at 30 weeks?? Any watch outs?

@Jess If you have any red flags you should definitely consider making a switch, it’s important to feel 100% supported by your care team. Yes thank goodness california insurance is rlly tricky so they were worried I wouldn’t be able to be seen in time to properly assess my baby/ body since it’s a birthing center && being low risk is super important

Thank you! I am technically low risk. Unless some consider that I am 35 years old but otherwise totally healthy pregnancy! Congrats and good luck to you!
