My last appt I was 33 weeks and some days, my doctor said I would be getting them every week. They consider me “high risk” since my last pregnancy was a C-Section so maybe that’s why I’m getting them every week. I have one tomorrow so I would have to ask why

If you are having an uncomplicated and normal pregnancy three is normal. One at 8ish weeks for dating, one at around 20 weeks for anatomy and they will usually do one more between 30&35 weeks to double check size and position. Anything after that is provider preference unless you are a high risk pregnancy Edit to add: it’s because of insurance. Most insurances don’t cover more than three unless there is a diagnosis that supports extra imaging.

I got one at 9 weeks to confirm pregnancy, the 20 week anatomy scan, last week I got a growth scan but we saw baby maybe 10 seconds MAX 😭

Yeah at 36 weeks you'll start getting one every week I'm 33 and I've been getting them since I was 30 bc he almost came around 26 weeks and thy want to make sure he's not going to try to come before he can

My last one was at 20 weeks and I won’t be getting another one at all. As long as there are no complications you don’t need another ultrasound, so I’m taking this long wait to see my baby as a blessing🙏🏼

So far I had 2 one at 12 weeks one at 22 and I will have one at 34 weeks because they didn’t have availability at 32. I think that will be it. My first pregnancy I had so many more ultrasounds. Maybe it depends on the office and how they see your situation
